The first hour (6-7 PM) is a free-form workshop where students can practice, get one-on-one help from the instructors, or learn new dance steps not covered in the class. The first hour often ends with 5-10 minute line dance.
The second hour (7-8 PM) is a straightforward Shag dance lesson where the level of instruction depends on the skill level of the students. Typically, the instructors teach one or more Shag dance patterns and rotate partners to aid in learning lead/follow skills.
